The first nine years of my life were here in Madras. Our family moved a couple of times while I was growing up and I graduated from high school in Ashland, Oregon. From there I headed to Corvallis, Oregon and Oregon State University, from which I have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, with Minors in Behavioral Science and Religious Studies.

While I was in college, my parents purchased a Chevrolet dealership in Heppner,Oregon, and after college I worked with them at the dealership. Our plans changed when the Chevrolet dealership became available in Madras, and with the generous help and support of some very fine people of our community, the Madras dealership became a reality for our family. We owned and operated it for one month short of twenty years. In 2006 we sold the dealership to Gary Grunner, and I had the opportunity to be a house dad for three years.

In 2010, when it was time to get serious about work, I got my real estate license and worked with D and D Realty. It was a good relationship as I was given the freedom to handle most situations autonomously. For me, the people I came in contact with at the dealership, and now through real estate, have been a large part of my “social life.” Yes, I have been a square since early childhood!

On January 1, 2021 Jennifer Holcomb reached an agreement to purchase D and D Realty and has changed the name to Dreams Realty. This is exciting and rewarding for Jennifer, and I am pleased to be able to be her Managing Principal Broker until she is able to assume that role as well.
